Clarity and certainty aren’t the same thing.
Certainty says:“I know exactly how this will turn out.”
Clarity says:“I know what matters, what’s within my control, and what the next right action is.”
The Stoics didn’t wait for perfect confidence before acting. They knew that outcomes belong partly to chance, other people, and circumstances beyond us.
What belongs to us is our judgment, intention, and effort.
So when you feel stuck, don’t ask:“Can I be completely sure?”
Ask:“What is clear enough for me to do next?”
You may not know where the road ends.
You only need enough clarity to take the next honest step.
