It doesn’t disappear right away.

Good morning, Stoics.

Yesterday was about delaying one urge.

Just one moment where you didn’t act right away.

If you caught it, you probably noticed something.

The urge doesn’t disappear. It hangs around for a bit. It pushes. It tries to convince you to give in.

Then… it fades.

Or at least weakens.

That’s the part most people never see, because they act on it immediately.

Now let’s hear it.

What did that urge feel like when you didn’t act on it?

Did it get stronger before it passed?

Did it fade quicker than you expected?

Stay steady.
