Good day, Stoics.
Precision and perfectionism are often mistaken for the same thing.
They’re not.
Precision says,”
I’m going to do this well.
Perfectionism says,”
I’m not allowed to get this wrong.
One is focused on excellence.
The other is focused on fear.
Precision accepts that mistakes are part of the process.
Perfectionism keeps raising the standard until starting feels impossible.
The Stoics valued doing things with care, but they also understood that progress requires action, not flawless execution.
Where do you notice the line between precision and perfectionism in your own life?
Stay steady.
