Good day, Stoics.
What is quietly draining you?
Not everything that drains us announces itself.
Sometimes it’s obvious.
A difficult season.
A demanding job.
A health challenge.
But other times…
It’s much quieter.
It’s the decision you’ve been avoiding.
The resentment you’ve kept alive.
The habit you know isn’t serving you.
The expectation you’ve placed on yourself that no one else is asking you to carry.
Those things have a way of collecting interest. A little bit each day. Until one morning you wake up feeling exhausted, even though you can’t point to a single reason why.
The Stoics encouraged regular self-examination for exactly this reason. Not to criticize ourselves. But to notice.
So here’s today’s question:What’s quietly draining you right now?
And just as important…
What would happen if you finally put it down?
Stay steady.
